What does a healthy diet look like (and can it also include processed food)?

This event will discuss the role of processed food and drink in delivering positive outcomes for a healthy Europe.

How can we reverse the incidence of non-communicable diseases?

How can we tackle obesity?

Are processed foods part of the problem or part of the solution?

The event will be moderated by Dan Sobovitz who will ensure a lively discussion with expert input from a high calibre of speakers.

Speakers

Nutritionist Barbara Bray MBE will talk about what a healthy and balanced diet looks like.

FoodDrinkEurope’s Will Surman will outline the challenges and opportunities for food manufacturers to contribute to a healthier Europe.

MEP Manuela Ripa will talk about how policymakers can create a legislative environment to deliver healthier diets.

Food scientist Vincenzo Fogliano will explore the research behind ensuring innovative and healthy foods.

Marta Hugas, former Chief Scientist at EFSA and now an independent expert, will explain that healthy food can only be healthy if it is also safe.
